Terms of Service

Effective date: February 26, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Aswaat ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Aswaat is a platform for sharing, discovering, and listening to Quran recitations. Registered users may upload audio recordings of Quran recitations, create playlists, follow other users, and interact with community content.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all registration information you provide is accurate and truthful.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. Content & Uploads

When you upload content to Aswaat, you represent that:

  • You own or have the right to share the content.
  • The content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.
  • The content is a genuine recitation of the Quran and is uploaded in good faith.
  • The content does not contain harmful, offensive, or misleading material.

By uploading content, you grant Aswaat a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute that content on the platform.

6. Intellectual Property & Audio Content

All audio recitations hosted on Aswaat remain the intellectual property of their respective reciters or rights holders. Aswaat does not claim ownership of any user-uploaded content.

Aswaat is a free, non-commercial platform. All content on the Service is provided for personal, non-commercial listening only. You agree not to:

  • Download, rip, or extract audio files from the platform.
  • Redistribute, re-upload, or share audio content outside of Aswaat.
  • Use any content from the Service for commercial purposes, including but not limited to selling, licensing, monetising, or incorporating it into paid products or services.
  • Use automated tools or scripts to bulk-access or scrape audio content.

If you are a reciter or rights holder and believe your content has been uploaded without authorisation, please contact us at support@aswaat.app and we will promptly review and remove it.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Upload content that is not related to Quran recitation.
  • Impersonate another person or entity.
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
  • Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the Service.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service.
  • Distribute spam or unsolicited communications.

8. Aswaat Verified Programme

Aswaat operates a Verified Programme for reciters, masjids, public figures, and memorisers of the Quran (Huffadh). The following terms apply to all applicants and participants:

  • Verification is not guaranteed. Applying does not entitle you to verification. Each application is reviewed individually and acceptance depends on recitation quality, eligibility criteria, and platform capacity.
  • Selective acceptance. The Huffadh and Public Figure / Influencer categories are selective. Not all applications will be accepted, even if the applicant meets stated criteria.
  • Masjid accounts. Approved Masjid accounts may manage multiple reciter profiles under a single institution account, subject to ongoing compliance with these Terms.
  • Revocation. Verified status may be revoked at any time if Aswaat determines that eligibility criteria are no longer met, if these Terms are violated, or if content standards are not upheld.
  • Upload eligibility. Only verified accounts may upload recitations to the platform. Verification is a prerequisite for contributing audio content.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, the Service, or third parties.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aswaat shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Contact

If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at support@aswaat.app.
